Our Process

what to expect

01. Explore

Explore our portfolio – it’s the perfect place to discover what resonates with you.

02. FAQ

You may find the answers to your questions here, which would save back-and-forth emailing.

03. Send us a message

We’d love to hear about your Simcha. Once you reach out, we’ll arrange a brief consultation to connect, learn more about your plans, and guide you through the next steps with ease. In your email, please mention the following: 1/ Date, 2/ Location, 3/ Event organiser (or person in charge, MC, DJ, Band), 4/ Number of guests, 5/ All your visions, expectations and requirements.

04. Planning

Once your date is secured, we kindly ask to be introduced to your Simcha/Party coordinator. This allows us to gather all essential logistical details – including venue addresses, a full itinerary of events with their running order, and any key moments or surprises planned for the day. We’ll also need contact information for your DJ or band, as well as the names or numbers of speakers (so we can plan sound recording), the MC or toastmaster, and anyone managing the flow of events. Clear communication ensures we capture every moment seamlessly.

05. Let's Party

On the day of the event, we’ll arrive at least an hour early to set up, scout the best locations for videography, and capture detailed room and décor shots. We’ll dedicate approximately 15 minutes for individual filming of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah boy or girl.

Once this portion is complete, we’ll transition into documentary-style coverage, capturing candid and natural moments throughout the celebration.

We strongly recommend considering our collections that include two videographers – see our FAQ to understand why this makes such a difference. Our goal is to ensure your experience feels effortless, meaningful, and as unforgettable as the memories we preserve.

06. Enjoy your tangible memories

Each film is handled with the utmost care, thoughtfully crafted, carefully edited, and delivered within 1–3 weeks.

You’ll receive a beautifully curated preview for your review, making it effortless to request adjustments and share with loved ones. Every detail is considered to ensure your final film is as timeless as the memories it holds.

08. We'll see you again

We look forward to seeing you again, at your other children’s bar mitzvah, a business project, or perhaps another beautiful Simcha you’ve kindly recommended us for. It’s always an honour to continue capturing your most meaningful moments.

F.A.Q.

Should I consider Single photographer/videographer packages?

The topic of whether to choose a single photographer/videographer or a team to capture special events like Simchas is a crucial one. Given the dynamic nature of these events, which often include a mix of ages from children to the elderly in often crowded settings, the decision can greatly impact the quality and scope of the captured memories.

The Challenges of a Single Shooter

Our experience, supported by consistent five-star feedback, demonstrates the risks involved with relying on a single shooter:

Missed Moments: Important events can go uncaptured as one person cannot be everywhere at once.

Compromised Quality: Blurry images and shaky, poor-quality footage are common as a single videographer struggles with multitasking equipment and settings.

Limited Creativity: A lone photographer or videographer is restricted by the sheer feasibility of managing multiple pieces of equipment alone, which stifles creativity.

Sound and Stability Issues: Monitoring sound quality while simultaneously managing camera stability is challenging, especially in lively environments like a dance floor during speeches.

The Advantages of a Team-Based Approach

Opting for a team package to cover your event offers numerous benefits that enhance the overall quality and experience:

Diverse Perspectives: Multiple photographers and videographers provide a variety of angles and shots using different lenses, capturing a comprehensive view of your event.

Enhanced Coverage: The presence of several team members ensures that no important moment is missed. If one photographer misses a shot, another is likely to capture it, providing a valuable backup.

Reduced Intrusiveness: Photographers can remain unobtrusive, capturing genuine moments without disrupting the event. This is particularly beneficial during emotional moments, such as capturing a grandparent’s reaction during speeches without drawing attention.

Advanced Techniques and Equipment: A team allows for the use of diverse, cinematic techniques and better handling of technical issues. Sound can be continuously monitored, and multiple cameras can provide different perspectives, including close-ups and wide shots. This results in a multi-camera video that is dynamic and engaging to watch.

Reliability and Redundancy: The presence of multiple professionals means that technical failures, like a dead battery or an obstructed view, don’t spell disaster for capturing key moments.

Conclusion

For events involving large crowds or that demand high-quality photographic and video records, a team approach is advisable. The capability to employ various creative techniques, along with the security of having backups in place, ensures that your special moments are preserved in a manner that single operators simply cannot match. This is why we offer tailored team packages, ensuring that every aspect of your event is captured beautifully and comprehensively.

What’s the difference between a Social Media Teaser, Highlights Trailer, Full Story Edit, and Feature Film?

• Social Media Teaser

A 30-60 second video designed for quick sharing – a stylish glimpse of your event’s best moments.

• Highlights Trailer

A 3–5 minute cinematic recap set to music. Emotionally powerful, perfect for reliving the energy and feeling of the day.

• Full Story Edit

A full-length film (60–120 mins) that covers the entire event, from preparations to party, using multi-cam, professional audio, and music. Every key moment is beautifully edited. The multi-cam approach (using two or more videographers) creates a more dynamic and engaging film by capturing key moments from multiple angles and perspectives.

• Feature Film

A 15–60 minute curated cinematic film. Story-driven, emotionally paced, and focused on the most meaningful moments – vows, speeches, reactions – edited like a movie.

What makes your videos different from others?

We use high-end cinematic filming and sound equipment. Teamwork is essential. Quick turnaround.

Do you cover Bar Mitzvah in London only?

No. We cover London, Manchester, the whole country, Paris, New York, Israel and internationally. We do, however, have to add on a charge to cover expenses and, on rare occasions, accommodation costs; however, we try to keep these costs to a minimum by only charging the cost of the transport and daily bread.

How in advance to book your services?

The majority of our clients book their children’s Bar & Bat Mitzvah about 2 years in advance together with the rest of the high-value suppliers. We have short notice clients, depending on availability.

Why is so important to book photo & video from one vendor?

Yes, it is important because photographers and videographers have experience working together and know each other’s styles. They will try to complement each other, not to compete.

How do you deliver the videos?

Online downloadable files.

Can you hold the date for me?

We can not hold a date for you without a signed agreement and deposit. A signed agreement and a deposit of 30% are required to reserve the date for you. Dates are filled on a first come, first served basis. So don’t wait, as some prime dates are already booked 2 years in advance.

When can we get the videos?

We try to deliver up to a week after the Bar Mitzvah because we know how important it is for you to enjoy and share the images with friends and relatives. In a very busy season it may take a little longer but in one month frame.

When do you arrive ?

We arrive an hour earlier so the video team have enough time to set up lights, microphones, etc. We use the time to find the best spot and start with the establishing and details footage followed by individual shots of the Mitzvah boy/girl.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. If your venue requires insurance, please let us know within two weeks of the wedding so our insurance company has sufficient time to process and provide that document.

Do you film/photograph Bar Mitzvah only?

No. We film and photograph any Simcha, special events including Weddings, Anniversaries, Commercials, social media short films, conferences and corporate events, etc.

What style do you shoot?

When we film Bar Mitzvahs, we try to be artistic photojournalists, capturing those unique and inspiring moments that create the true impression of the event. We film the event as it happens, an unobtrusive documentary allowing the video to reflect your boy/girl’s and everyone’s personality and emotions. We capture the interaction inside your family, also between your family and your friends. The only time we may direct or pose is before the guests come for the family shots.

How many videos do you provide?

For most of our clients, we provide a cinematic highlights video plus the big video in multi-cam with minor cuts.

How does the relationship between the photographer and videographer work?

If you book our photography & video bundle, you’ll benefit from the same key final product. Please take a look at our photography portfolio. Speaking about the synergy between cats and dogs as they characterise photographers and videographers, we believe that photography is always more important as it captures the moment. We try to show respect to our colleagues but at the same time to do the job in the best way possible. The reason we are there is to capture your event the best we can, and that will only happen if the photographer and videographer work together with this aim in mind.

Are you familiar with Bat & Bar Mitzvah?

Since 2012, we’ve booked more Bar & Bar Mitzvahs than weddings, hundreds of them,  and yes, we have the experience and feel quite comfortable.

How do we book?

Once you have confirmed your intentions, we’ll send you an agreement to sign. After signing the agreement and sending our copy back to us along with a deposit of 1/3rd of the agreed amount, we’ll consider the day reserved for you.

When do we meet?

It’s usually best to have our pre-Bar Mitzvah meeting 2-3 weeks prior to the event; the closer, the better, really, as it’s nice to keep the rapport we build up from the meeting and take that into the Mitzvah so you feel more at ease. We always try to arrange a face-to-face meeting wherever possible, but sometimes, due to logistics, this may not be possible. In this instance, we can have the next best thing…a WhatsApp video.

When is the final balance due?

3 Weeks prior to the Bar Mitzvah date.

Payment methods?

Bank Transfer, Cash.

How long does the video take to complete?

Creating a film to the standard we produce takes time, so we set the completion date at 1-4 weeks from the event date. We don’t rush our edits; we spend the time carefully crafting your Mitzvah film to ensure we create the best Bar Mitzvah video possible. Your video is to last you forever, and we want it to be something you will always want to watch and be proud to show your friends and family; we edit with this in mind. It does require patience on your part, but I can assure you it’s worth the wait!

How long do you keep a copy of our Bar Mitzvah footage?

Once the video is signed off and you have received your final copies, we will keep the raw footage for 2 months, after which time it will be deleted. We will, however, keep copies of your final edits in case you wish to order more copies in the future.

Not answered your question?

Please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Do you burn videos on DVD

Yes and No. Filming in FullHD or 4K and compressing it on a DVD downgrades the quality 4-8 times, so it’s quite obsolete. Another factor is that the professional DVD software was discontinued a long time ago. We work with partners who still offer the service.
